GEORGE JOSHUA PIKE  &  VIVIAN RUTH OLDHAM

George Joshua Pike was born 13 April 1891, in CO or OK  to Frank Pike and Mae French Huey.   He married Vivian Ruth Oldham (born 27 Oct 1886, Graham, Young County, TX, died 8 Sept 1971) She is buried in Pine Crest Cemetery in Mena, AR.  She said that she came to Mena, AR from TX in a covered wagon when she was 16 and lived there her entire life with the exception of one year in Marlow, OK when her children were very young.  I don't know her parents names yet but her brother was E.T. "Bud" Oldham. He was born 4 Dec 1888 and died 3 July 1965.  He was a World War 1 Veteran and is buried in the National Cemetery in Ft. Smith, Sebastian County, AR.

George Pike was an Assistant US MARSHAL and  lived most of his adult life in Mena, AR where he owned a hardware store.  Later he moved to Durant , Ok where he died in October, 1972.

George Joshua Pike and Vivian Ruth Oldham had 2 children.  They were:

i.  Marcus Pike (born after 1918, Mena, Polk County, AR)

ii.   Edna Mae Pike  (born 12 Sept 1912, Mena, Polk County, AR, died Nov 1985)  She is buried in Pine Crest Cemetery in Mena, AR.  A twin died either at birth or shortly thereafter.
Edna Mae Pike married Quincy B. Lindsey (born 1908, died 1951). They had one child, Harley Craig Lindsey (born 10 Dec 1938).  I have very little information on the Lindsey family of Mena, AR.  Quincy Lindsey and his brother Alex owned the Studebaker dealership there and in 1951 they were both in a car accident in which Quincy was killed. Quincy is buried in Pine Crest Cemetery in Mena.

A young George Pike!
